To be completely honest I was a little nervous about making spaghetti in the Ninja Foodi. I had heard of people’s noodles coming out in a clump or burning to the bottom. However, Ninja Foodi Spaghetti and Meatballs will be come a staple in our house.
I used the Ninja Foodi Italian Meatballs because they are so good, and only browned so don’t over cook. Since they are a great COST Cooking (Cook Once Serve Twice) Method recipe it makes this a hearty meal with such little preparation.
What you Need for Ninja Foodi Spaghetti and Meatballs
- 1 1/2 tablespoons of grape seed or olive oil.
- 12 ounces of spaghetti broken in halves or thirds.
- 24 ounce of spaghetti sauce of your choice. Or about 24 ounce of homemade sauce.
- 3 cups of beef broth
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 22-24 Ninja Foodi Italian Meatballs
The beef broth really threw me off as I thought for sure it would ruing the taste of my sauce. However it really just cooks the noodles and the sauce stays the right consistency and flavor.
To make this, simply build layers in the Ninja Foodi. Place the meatballs as the base layer and stack as needed. Cover with the beef stock. Add the spaghetti on the tops and simply press down into the beef stock. Do not stir this in. Cover with the jar of sauce.
Turn the Ninja Foodi on and select Pressure and set to High for 8 minutes. Confirm the seal is closed and press Start. When cooking is complete quick release the pressure. If any of the steam is lightly colored by the sauce, then close the valuable and let set for about 2 minutes, then release.
Open the lid, stir the mixture to help disperse the spaghetti. Let stand for about 5 minutes. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve immediately.

Super delicious! We have made many different versions of spaghetti in our Ninja Foodie (they all are too liquidy). And we have a toddler, so he only eats what he pleases and both him and my hubby gobble this up. My hubby says this is his favorite version of spaghetti. We have this made this 3x so far at least? Wonderful recipe!
I was so nervous to put that much water in with my sauce and everything, but it turned out great! Also, this was one of the only recipes I could find with 12 oz of spaghetti.
Thank you!
Recipe calls for “1 1/2 tablespoons of grape seed or olive oil.” However, you never said when to add it.
Sorry about that. I will update the recipe. Add that at the bottom of the pot right before adding the meatballs.
This is our go-to for a quick and tasty dinner! So easy to make, only one pot to clean and it is delicious. My family loves it.
This is definitely a staple in our house too. Easy but so good.
Is it the same cooking time if you are using brown wholemeal pasta? Thanks
