Our Vision
My mom is a true southern belle. While never explicit, I learned from an early age that meals were not only for nourishment, but to bring people together. Food brings people comfort in difficult times, and can create happiness or evoke memories at other times. In my house the kitchen is a place my family always comes together to cook, eat and clean up as a family. I love centering events with family and friends around a good meal, especially during a busy hockey season.
Our Story
I have been a hockey mom for 25 years that’s works full time. I spent some of that time as a young, single, working mother and the most recent years with my wonderful husband at games. We have 4 children ranging from 14 to 29 years old And 3 grandchildren ages 5 to 11. Our 29 year old still plays men’s league today and my 14 year old is on the local travel team. We have also adopted and are raising our 5 year old grandson. He is the one that calls me “mama” thus so do the rest now. He is at that age where he has a love and awe for the game, and is an on again off again skater. However, I am sure he will be on the ice before we can blink. When I first started to understand and learn how to make meals quickly between, work, school and practice blogs were not even a thing. I have perfected this skill and gathered some wonderfully helpful tools over the years and am consistently asked at the rink for tips and tricks. I am really excited to be able to share those to a bigger audience and hope you find something that helps you.
Meet the Family
My family is my inspiration . . .
Kim & Bill
Hockey Mama & Papa
We met and got to know each other over some wonderful meals 25 years ago. He is my biggest champion and best food critic.
Mark & Norah
#1 Hockey Player & His Better Half
Mark started playing hockey at 4 years old and became an all-state player and played through college. I am thankful every day that all of our lives are blessed by Norah.
Madison, Billy and James
Billy currently plays hockey on a local travel team. Madison plays travel volleyball, and James is figuring out what he loves best.
